M&S Food Hall
Eastleigh

Cordwell developed this two storey 16,000sqft Marks and Spencer Food Hall in the Centre of Eastleigh, Hampshire.

 

The store which was BREEAM Very Good, included rain water harvesting, a living green wall and public art glazing to the cafe.

 

 

The Ropewalk

Nuneaton


Cordwell in association with Richardson Developments were appointed by Nuneaton and Bedworth District Council to undertake this major town centre redevelopment scheme. The shopping comprised 200,000 sq.ft of retail floor space and 500 new multi-storey car spaces.

This major town centre development scheme was completed in August 2005​.

Prime Occupiers include, BHS, Next, JJB Sports, TK Maxx and LA Fitness.

 

The Forum

Stevenage

 

Cordwell in association with Richardson Developments took a derelict site which had lain fallow for many years and transformed it into a vibrant shopping facility for the residents of this Hertfordshire town.

The scheme comprises 140,000 sq.ft of retail floor space, plus 450 car parking spaces.

Prime Occupiers include, Vigin, Dixons, Ottakers, Allsports, Lidl, Staples, Dolland & Aitchison, Dreams and Aldi.

The site also boasts public art sculptures and beautifully landscaped public squares.

Albion Street

Derby

Cordwell in association with Richardson Development undertook this major City Centre retail development adjacent to the Eagle Centre.

 

The scheme comprises 80,000 sq.ft and occupiers include, Next, Early Learning, Disney Store, Mothercare, Oasis, Bay Trading and Walker and Hall.

The site boasts public art sculptures and hard landscaped thoroughfare linking the Eagle Centre with Market Hall.

Horse & Jockey Yard

Ashbourne

Located in the principal shopping area of this Derbyshire Market Town, the Horse & Jockey Yard comprises a modern retail development requiring delicate and sensitive planning to blend in with the existing fabric of this Peak District 'gateway' town.

With Boots as an anchor tenant and Edinburgh Woollen Mills as a major pre-let the scheme has been an undoubted success and contributed to the facilities and amenities of the town. 

Golden Cross

Oxford

Situated in the heart of Oxford's shopping thoroughfare is the Golden Cross Shopping Centre, a group of grade I listed buildings originally built in the 12th century, which have been expertly and sensitively restored by Cordwell's Directors.

Previously occupied as a restaurant and public house, these buildings were completely stripped back to their medieval framework and restored by craftsmen to their former glory.

The principal tenants include Pizza Express and Neal House Yard.

The Moor

Sheffield

A joint venture with Sheffield City Council, this Major City Centre regeneration and asset management project comprises of 1,000,000 sq.ft. of prime retail space.

Principal occupiers include, Debenhams, Boots, BHS, Principles, Atkinsons, McDonalds, Superdrug, Sainsbury Centro and Sports Soccer

Cordwell assembled and asset managed this important shopping district of the City Centre in association with Deutsche Asset Management.

Black Hall Yard

Kendal

Adjacent to the successful Westmoreland Shopping Centre, Cordwell acquired and developed a group of existing properties with back-land and transformed it into a speciality shopping centre aimed at private boutique shopping to complement the multiple shopping available next door.

The development was completed as a series of individual shopping units using the existing street frontage with a modern courtyard created behind.
